Calculating Your Water Use Fee From Your Meter／検針から料金のご請求

In Kumamoto City, we will come to read your meter once every two months. The amount of water used will be divided in half.

Half of the amount used will be charged the next month, and the remaining half will be charged the following month.

We will deliver you a notification of how much water you have used after measuring.

For example, you used 33 cubic meters worth of water when we measured your meter in February.

That amount will be broken into two payments, such as 17 cubic meters in March and 16 cubic meters in April.

For individuals who live in a building with sewerage, you will receive a bill for both water and sewer use. For more information, please refer to the following:

1. Water Number CD
   Please provide this number when making inquiries.
2. Caliber: the thickness of the pipe
3. Meter Number
   This is the number of your water meter.
4. Current Amount of Used Water
   This is the amount of used water in the last two months.
5. Estimated Cost
   This is the cost to be charged as of this inspection.
   Amount of Water: the amount of water used in one month (in cubic meters)
   Water Fee: the cost of the water used (in Japanese yen)
   Sewage Fee: the cost of using sewers (in Japanese yen)
   *the costs include consumption tax
